Job summary

Quest Global is seeking an Instrument Maintenance Engineer in a senior role to act as a reliability resource for oil & gas plant equipment, performing criticality assessments and defining maintenance strategies. The role includes planning preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance for field instruments and leading calibration activities.

The candidate should have 5–8 years in refinery/petrochemical environments, with hands-on experience in DCS/PLC systems, P&ID reviews, instrument data

Qualifications

• Engineering degree (Instrumentation or Mechanical).
• 5-8 years of experience in related industry (refining/petrochemical/LNG/oil & gas).
• Knowledge in Reliability Centred Maintenance, preferably in Meridium and/or criticality assessment.
• Working experience in SAP, PM and MM Modules knowledge is preferred.
• Fluent English written and oral communication / interpersonal skills.
• Experience with P&IDs, equipment data sheets, interpreting vendor manuals.
• Good interpersonal skills and collaborative work with other teams.
• Experience with Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Responsibilities

• Act as a reliability engineer and technical resource for criticality and maintenance strategies for plant equipment.
• Prepare maintenance plans: preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance for field instruments.
• Install, calibrate, commission and maintain field instruments: valves, actuators, transmitters, detectors.
• Review C&E charts and ESD logics of PLCs; coordinate with control systems.
• Coordinate with teams, update instrument data sheets, P&IDs and installation drawings.
• Support SAP PM/MM workflows and document management activities.
• Perform risk and up-to-date compliance checks for upstream oil & gas facilities.

An Instrument Maintenance Engineer in a senior position, will act as a reliability engineer who will be a technical resource in performing criticality and assigning strategies for all equipment’s in oil & gas plant.

Requirement

• Instrumentation / Process Engineering, Reviewing Process & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&ID), Instrument Location Diagrams, Instrument Data Sheet, Instrument Installation Drawing and Cable Schedule.


• Maintenance of field Instruments and knowledge of Calibration of all field instruments


• Knowledge of control systems like: Distributed Control System, PLC based Emergency shutdown systems, PLC based Fire Detection and Alarm systems,


• Installation, calibration, commissioning and maintenance of field Instruments: Control valves, Motor operated Actuators, Remote Operated Shut off Valves (XZV), Transmitters, Flame/hydrocarbon gas detectors, Ultrasonic Flow meters, Pressure/temperature gauges.


• Reviewing Cause & Effect chart and preparation/reviewing of ESD logics of plc.


• Preparation of Maintenance plan and schedule Viz. Preventive maintenance, predictive maintenance and breakdown maintenance schedule for various Instruments.


• Have to perform Criticality assessment
