Reliance Industries Limited, Battery Business in Jamnagar, Gujarat seeks an Instrument Reliability Lead to guide instrumentation maintenance, ensure standards, and drive reliability initiatives. The role collaborates with engineering, electrical, mechanical, process and operations teams.

You will lead installation, testing, commissioning and ongoing maintenance of DCS, PLC, SCADA, ESD and Fire & Gas systems, review drawings, manage budgets, and mentor engineers and technicians while ensuring HSE

Qualifications

• BE / B.Tech in Instrumentation.
• 10–15 years of experience in a similar industry.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance to standards, procedures and best practices.
• Maintain integrity of maintenance SAP-PM and SAP-MM data, analysis and costs - by timely and correct data entries and validation.
• Lead the instrumentation team for installation, testing, commissioning, and maintenance activities.
• Coordinate with engineering, electrical, mechanical, process, and operations teams.
• Support and participate in audits (SSAC, IMS, RESOP, Housekeeping, etc.).
• IMS documentation and compliance.
• Ensure compliance with HSE requirements, company procedures, and project quality standards.
• Reliable support for instrument systems (DCS, PLC, SCADA, ESD, Fire & Gas) integration and commissioning.
• Review and approve instrument drawings, datasheets, specs, and I/O lists.
• Troubleshoot instrumentation issues and perform RCA when needed.
• Prepare work schedules, manpower planning, and daily/weekly progress reports.
• Shutdown coordination with plant team.
• Budget preparation and management for instrumentation.

Position Title: Instrument Reliability Lead

Location: Jamnagar, Gujarat

Job Description

• Ensure compliance to standards, procedures and best practices
• Maintain integrity of maintenance SAP-PM and SAP-MM data, analysis and costs - by timely and correct data entries and validation.
• Execute the jobs as per guidance from Manager and technical support & inputs from Reliability groups. Participate in Reliability & Integrity studies as identified
• Coordinate with engineering, electrical, mechanical, process, and operations teams.
• Support and participate in ( SSAC, IMS, RESOP ,Housekeeping audit,... Etc) Audits
• IMS documentation and Compliance
• Ensure compliance with HSE requirements, company procedures, and project quality standards.
• Reliable Support instrument system DCS, PLC, SCADA, ESD, and Fire & Gas system integration and commissioning & Plant start up.
• Lead the instrumentation team for installation, testing, commissioning, and maintenance activities.
• Coordinate with vendors for technical support, inspections, FAT/SAT, and warranty activities.
• Review and approve instrument drawings, datasheets, specifications, and I/O lists.
• Ensure proper installation and calibration of field instruments such as pressure, temperature, flow, and level transmitters.
• Troubleshoot instrumentation issues and implement corrective actions. Participate as a member of RCA team, if appointed.
• Prepare work schedules, manpower planning, and daily/weekly progress reports.
• Shutdown coordination and execution with plant team.
• XV's, control valves and field instrument routine Maintenance and PM jobs execution.
• Identify & interact with Workshop for repair activities.
• Train and mentor instrumentation engineers, technicians, and contractors.
• Budget preparation
• Manage optimum Instrumentation maintenance cost.
• Follow-up for review and all PR. Order, and release activities & PO execution follow-up job
• Material delivery follow-up with buyer and supplier& Material inspection, GRN clearance, order closure jobs.
• Maintain history/ records for Critical instrumentation assets and improvement plan for the Plant
• ESS checking & LLF of all type instrument.
• Daily planning, weekly Planning, Monthly Planning for regular jobs
• SMP preparation and finalization
