Qualifications

• Diploma or B.E./B.Tech in Electrical Engineering required.
• Extensive experience in electrical QA/QC for wind or renewable projects.
• Strong knowledge of IS/IEC standards and safety requirements.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and inspect electrical installation activities at project sites.
• Ensure works follow approved drawings and QAP/ITP.
• Tackle NCRs, punch points and ensure timely closure.
• Coordinate with EPC contractors, vendors and site teams for quality.
• Maintain inspection reports, test reports and quality documentation.
• Support internal and customer audits for compliance.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor and inspect electrical installation activities at solar/renewable energy project sites.
• Ensure electrical works are executed as per approved drawings
• Best candidate background: Electrical Engineer with 38 years of experience in Solar PV / Renewable Energy / Power Projects, specifically in QA/QC or Field Quality, specifications, QAP and ITP.
• Conduct quality inspections for:
• HT/LT cable laying & termination
• Transformer installation
• HT/LT panels and switchgear
• Inverter/PCS installation
• SCADA and communication systems
• Earthing and lightning protection
• Cable trays, conduits and electrical equipment
• Module/string cabling and junction boxes
• Verify electrical material quality, test certificates and approved makes.
• Witness and review electrical testing such as IR, continuity, earth resistance, HV/Hi-Pot and cable testing.
• Check installation against SLD, electrical drawings and approved specifications.
• Raise and monitor NCRs, observations and punch points and ensure timely closure.
• Coordinate with EPC contractors, vendors and site execution teams for quality compliance.
• Maintain inspection reports, checklists, test reports and quality documentation.
• Support internal/customer audits and ensure compliance with applicable IS/IEC standards.
• Ensure electrical work meets safety and statutory requirements.
