Job description

Electrical Quality Engineer - Renewable (F/M/D) – On site

Full-time, Gurugram, India

Purpose/ Profile Summary:

The candidate shall have a comprehensive understanding of quality requirements related to electrical works at site. The candidate should be able to prepare all electrical FQP & relevant checklists for site implementation. The personnel shall be responsible for the quality of electrical work in utility-scale renewable energy projects (solar & wind).

Your responsibilities will include:

Create, process, complete, and maintain accurate electrical quality documentation and records associated with the projects.
Understand in-process testing such as insulation tests, HV tests, earth tests, etc.
Comply with standards like IS1255, IS3043, IEC62271, IS 2026, IS 7098 (all parts).
Prepare all FQP for electrical works and coordinate with contractors for FQP agreements and checklist preparations.
Review MTCs of raw materials as per design and standards.
Be familiar with transformer installation, HT breaker installation, cable laying, earthing works, etc.
Coordinate with contractors regarding non-conformities and conduct site quality training.
Perform site quality verification inspections, document deviations, observations, and non-conformities.
Communicate weekly observations and non-conformities to internal teams and contractors.
Follow up on non-conformity closures and report on their status monthly.
Maintain contractor performance records and resolve site quality issues as they arise.
Identify preventive actions for continual improvement.

Your profile:

Strong understanding of electrical works on site.
Hands-on experience with electrical quality requirements on solar sites.
Ability to analyze situations quickly and implement solutions.
Deep knowledge of electrical quality standards.
Proficient with tools and systems to ensure quality.

Qualifications and educational requirements:

Bachelor's degree or diploma in Electrical Engineering from a reputed institute.
4-5 years of experience in site electrical quality and relevant QC/QA documentation.
Knowledge of renewable industry norms and standards including IS/IEC.
