About the job Quality Assurance Engineer

Title: Quality Assurance Engineer

Location: Karnataka/Willing to shift to Maharashtra after 3 Months

Package

Responsibilities

• Very good understanding of Quality Assurance activities with an overall industry experience of 8-10 years, minimum of 5 years experience in the Solar Industry with 2 years experience in mechanical/electrical QA/QC.
• Proven experience in Quality Assurance/Engineering roles.
• Understand contractual and specification requirements and define them under quality specification requirements for Electrical Packages for Solar site erection/commissioning in the form of Quality Assurance Plans/Inspection and Test plans.
• Independently handle Quality activities including pre-dispatch tests/inspections and functional checks of heavy Electrical Items/packages based on schematic, general arrangement, and logic drawings.
• Excellent communication and coordination skills for liaising with suppliers, inspection agencies, and cross-functional teams.
• Conduct vendor evaluations/audits and process audits to ensure compliance with quality standards.
• Maintain quality documentation and reporting.
• Comprehensive knowledge of engineering standards including BIS, IEC, BS, IS, IEEE, etc.
• Exhibit advanced knowledge of AC and DC electrical systems and electrical safety for systems up to 1500VDC and 230KV AC applicable for Photovoltaic and Solar Energy Power Plants/Projects.
• Manage quality control and/or commissioning activities on utility‑scale solar facilities, including SCADA systems.
• Possess practical knowledge of electrical test equipment and setup, as well as interpretation of electrical drawings, complicated electrical schemes, and logic diagrams.
• Ensure that Quality is incorporated into projects and processes (prevention) rather than simply inspected.

Specifications

• Should have experience in independently managing Quality Assurance, Testing and Inspection of Solar and Electrical equipment.
• Certifications in Quality Assurance or Electrical Equipment Inspection or as an Internal auditor (e.g., ISO 9001/14001/45001) would be desirable.
• Should have successfully managed Quality Assurance actives of 2 or 3 Large MW scale Solar Projects.
• Good Knowledge in Quality Inspection and Testing Methodologies
• Has knowledge in overall Electrical Design concepts and specific experience related to Solar systems
• Good in prioritizing tasks and co-ordination

Education

• B.E / B Tech / M Tech Electrical Engineering or equivalent qualification.
