Floatex Solar seeks a Design Lead (Electrical – DC & AC) to review and execute engineering activities for solar PV plants, including generation estimates, overall plant layout, DC and AC SLDs, inverter sizing, SMB, cabling, earthing, transformer sizing, and LT/HT breakers.
The role also includes BIM 3D modeling support and inter‑departmental coordination with Civil, Structural, Instrumentation and MEP teams.
As Design Lead (Electrical – DC & AC), the person shall be capable of reviewing & executing Engineering Activities covering both DC and AC scope of Solar PV Power Plants — including Generation Estimate, Overall Plant Layout, DC SLD, Solar Module Selection, Inverter Sizing, SMB, AC SLD, Building Layouts, Earthing Layouts, Cable Sizing Calculations, Transformer Sizing, and LT / HT Breakers. She / He shall facilitate the modellers in development of BIM 3D Model for PV Solar Power plants. In addition, she / he has to coordinate with other departments including Inter-departmental checks covering Civil / Structural, Instrumentation, MEP and others.
She / He shall lead a team of Design Engineers and Draughts Persons to manage the Engineering activities within budget, deliver on time and maintaining a high quality of engineering.
The Design Lead (Electrical DC & AC) is required to have an overall knowledge of equipment layouts and necessary calculations.
The Design Lead (Electrical DC & AC) should have detailed knowledge of Solar PV Power Plants, with understanding of engineering activities covering Generation Estimate, Overall Plant Layout, DC SLD, Solar Module Selection, Inverter Sizing, SMB, Earthing Layouts, Cable Sizing Calculations, SLD Preparation, Layout Engineering, Cable Routing, Lighting, Lightning Protection, and Cable Tray Routing. She / he should be capable of performing design & sizing calculations of Busbar, UPS, Battery, LT Transformer, Earthing Conductor (including Short Circuit Force calculations).
The Design Lead (Electrical DC & AC) is required to have knowledge on National and International Codes and Standards, and must understand and interpret the contractual technical requirements to facilitate the Project Teams as and when required.
In addition, the Design Lead (Electrical DC & AC) should also have an overall understanding of the inter-disciplinary (Civil & Structural, Mechanical and Instrumentation) design aspects of electrical equipment.
