Job description

Role & responsibilities

• Carry out preventive and breakdown maintenance of plant electrical systems panels, switchgear, transformers, motors, drives and lighting


• Ensure all electrical work is performed in compliance with the Indian Electricity Rules and hold a valid supervisor license responsibilities


• Plan and execute maintenance schedules to minimise production downtime


• Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical faults and coordinate timely repairs with the maintenance team


• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, equipment history, and statutory inspection/test certificates


• Coordinate with the electricity board/statutory authorities for inspections, approvals and compliance filings


• Monitor energy consumption and recommend measures for energy efficiency


• Ensure availability of critical spares and coordinate procurement with the stores/purchase team


• Enforce electrical safety protocols, permit-to-work systems, and PPE compliance on site


• Train and guide junior technicians/electricians on safe work practices and maintenance procedures


• Support new equipment installation, commissioning and electrical layout verification
