Job summary

Amor Indias in India is seeking a Controller Hardware Design Engineer with hands-on electronics circuit design, circuit analysis, prototype development, testing and debugging. The role will primarily focus on motor controller and inverter controller hardware, including review, modification and improvement of existing circuit designs.

You will collaborate with R&D, PCB Design, Manufacturing and Suppliers to develop prototypes, verify circuits and resolve hardware issues.

Qualifications

• > Hands-on experience in electronics circuit design, circuit analysis, prototype development, testing and debugging.
• > Focus on motor controller and inverter controller hardware.
• > Review, modify and improve existing circuit designs for motor/inverter controllers.
• > Develop prototypes, perform unit/functional/integration testing, and hardware debugging.
• > Collaborate with PCB Design and manufacturing teams for prototype build and testing.

Responsibilities

• Understand product and control system requirements and evaluate existing schematics.
• Review, modify and improve motor/inverter controller circuit designs.
• Perform circuit analysis, verification, and change impact assessments.
• Develop prototypes and conduct thorough testing and hardware debugging.
• Analyze hardware failures and implement root-cause corrective actions.
• Coordinate with PCB Design Engineers for layout and artwork.
• Support production testing, debugging, and assembly-related issues.
• Prepare and review technical documentation for circuit changes.

Job Summary

We are looking for a Controller Hardware Design Engineer with hands-on experience in electronics circuit design, circuit analysis, prototype development, testing and debugging. The role will primarily focus on motor controller and inverter controller hardware, including review, modification and improvement of existing circuit designs.

Key Responsibilities

• Understand product requirements and control system requirements and evaluate existing electronic schematics against these requirements.
• Review, modify and improve existing circuit designs for motor controllers and inverter controllers.
• Perform circuit analysis, circuit verification, component specification review and circuit change analysis.
• Develop prototype samples and conduct unit testing, functional testing, integration testing and hardware debugging.
• Analyze circuit-related failures during testing, identify root causes and implement appropriate circuit modifications or improvements.
• Work closely with PCB Design Engineers for PCB layout and artwork activities.
• Coordinate with manufacturing and PCB assembly suppliers for prototype build, component mounting, inspection and issue resolution.
• Support PCB assembly and prototype build activities, including review of assembly-related electronics issues.
• Support production testing, production debugging and inspection condition review during mass-production preparation.
• Resolve electronics and hardware-related issues encountered during production and support continuous improvement.
• Prepare and review technical documentation related to circuit changes, testing and validation.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including R&D, PCB Design, Manufacturing, Testing and Suppliers.

Technical Skills / Knowledge

• Strong understanding of analog and digital electronics circuits.
• Knowledge of power electronics and motor control systems.
• Working knowledge of inverter controller / motor controller hardware.
• Knowledge of gate drive circuits, sensing circuits and protection circuits.
• Understanding of digital control circuits and hardware interfaces.
• Experience in circuit debugging using electronic test equipment.
• Knowledge of PCB assembly, component mounting and hardware validation.
• Ability to analyze hardware failures and perform root-cause analysis.
• Exposure to circuit simulation, schematic tools and PCB design tools will be an advantage.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in EV / automotive electronics / motor drives / inverter / power electronics is preferred.
• Hands-on experience in prototype build, hardware testing, debugging and circuit modification.
• Experience working with PCB assembly and manufacturing suppliers.
• Ability to work from existing designs and continuously improve circuit performance, reliability and manufacturability.

B.E. / B.Tech / M.E. / M.Tech Electronics & Communication / Electrical & Electronics / Electronics / Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
