Job summary

Hyosungtndindia seeks an experienced On-site STATCOM Project Lead to manage installation, integration with power systems, and commissioning. You will lead a team of engineers and technicians, ensuring timely delivery, quality, and compliance with design specifications.

The role requires strong project management and field troubleshooting skills, with focus on safety, documentation, and coordination with vendors and clients. On-site work with a full-time Electrical background is essential.

Qualifications

• Experience: Minimum of 5-10 years of relevant experience in electrical site management, installation, and commissioning of STATCOM systems or similar power systems.
• Qualification: Full-time Electrical Diploma/Degree.
• Technical Skills: Project Management, STATCOM installations/commissioning, safety compliance, troubleshooting, and documentation management.
• Soft Skills: Leadership, proactive communication, and strong client-facing abilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead the on-site execution of STATCOM installation projects, ensuring design conformity, timelines, and quality.
• Coordinate all site activities across construction, electrical installation, and commissioning.
• Supervise engineers, technicians, and contractors on-site for efficient, compliant execution.
• Allocate tasks, monitor progress, and implement designs and engineering instructions.
• Provide technical guidance to on-site personnel for installation and electrical system issues.

• Lead the on-site execution of the STATCOM installation project, ensuring the work is completed according to design specifications, within timeframes, and in adherence to quality standards.
  
• Manage the coordination of all site activities, ensuring smooth integration of construction, electrical installation, and commissioning phases.
  
• Supervise a team of engineers, technicians, and contractors working on-site to ensure the project is executed efficiently and in compliance with all project requirements.
  
• Allocate tasks, monitor work progress, and ensure proper implementation of designs and engineering instructions.
  
• Provide technical support and guidance to on-site personnel to resolve issues related to installation and electrical systems.
  
• Oversee and ensure the proper installation of all STATCOM system components, including power equipment, control panels, and communication systems.
  
• Support commissioning teams in performing system checks, testing, and troubleshooting to ensure that the STATCOM is fully functional and integrated into the power grid.
  
• Enforce strict adherence to safety protocols on-site, ensuring the safe handling of electrical equipment and compliance with local safety regulations.
  
• Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to minimize risks and maintain a safe working environment.
  
• Ensure all materials and installations meet quality standards and are verified against project specifications.
  
• Collaborate with project engineers and the design team to resolve any technical discrepancies or design issues that arise during the installation phase.
  
• Ensure that changes or deviations from the original design are approved and documented.
  
• Continuously monitor the project progress and identify potential delays or issues that may affect the project schedule.
  
• Provide regular updates on site activities, challenges, and milestones to the project management team and clients.
  
• Maintain a log of all activities, issues, and resolutions, ensuring timely reporting of project status to stakeholders.
  
• Ensure that all project documentation, including daily work logs, progress reports, and inspection records, are accurately maintained.
  
• Monitor compliance with relevant local, regional, and national regulations and ensure all documentation is aligned with project compliance requirements.
  
• Coordinate with suppliers and vendors for the timely delivery of materials and equipment needed for the project.
  
• Ensure that quality and specification requirements are met for all supplied materials and equipment.
  
• Proactively identify potential issues or delays and work to resolve them in a timely manner.
  
• Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical problems, coordinating with technical teams to provide effective solutions.
  
• Act as the point of contact for clients, providing them with updates on site progress and addressing any concerns they may have.
  
• Assist in client inspections and meetings, ensuring the project meets their expectations.
  

Requirements
