Primary Objective

Electrical system design for the assigned project interacting with other disciplines, client and vendors as required.

Responsibilities

• Monitor own progress and ensure it comes within project schedule.
• Conduct site visit and data gathering.
• Prepare load list and equipment list.
• Prepare calculations for electrical systems such as voltage drop, equipment sizing, lighting, earthing and cable sizing.
• Prepare power system study reports and relay coordination using ETAP software.
• Prepare electrical power distribution concepts, SLD, schematic diagrams.
• Prepare cable schedules and interconnection schedules.
• Prepare specifications and data sheets.
• Prepare material requisition (Requisition For Quotation).
• Prepare technical bid evaluation reports.
• Provide input to Drafting personnel for preparation of drawings.
• Check drawings including interface with related drawings of own discipline and other disciplines.
• Maintain design file and relevant data.
• Assist Lead Engineer.
• Adhere to the committed schedule.
• Control electrical design budget and schedule.
• Supervise electrical designers and draftsmen.
• Prepare manhour estimates to perform project tasks based on tender scope documents and scope change.
• Adhere to Quality Assurance system, applicable procedures, Design basis, Applicable design guides / Standards / Specifications as applicable.
• Responsible for personal safety safe working practices for the CSG, etc. Understand and follow OH&S procedures.
