Responsibilities

• Manage electrical project execution activities at pharmaceutical facilities.

• Supervise installation of HT/LT systems, transformers, DG, MCC/PCC, UPS and power distribution.
• Coordinate electrical works with HVAC, cleanrooms, process equipment and other MEP services.
• Conduct site inspections and review contractor performance.
• Maintain project documentation and handover records.
• Provide regular progress updates to stakeholders.

Job Summary

The candidate will be responsible for managing electrical project activities from planning and design coordination through execution, testing, commissioning, and project handover. Pharmaceutical industry experience is mandatory. This role is focused on project execution and delivery and does not involve routine electrical maintenance or operations activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate electrical project execution activities at pharmaceutical/life-science facilities.
• Review electrical drawings, specifications, BOQs, technical documents, and project requirements.
• Coordinate with consultants, contractors, vendors, client representatives, and internal project teams.
• Monitor project execution to ensure compliance with approved drawings, specifications, quality standards, and project schedules.
• Supervise installation of electrical systems including HT/LT systems, transformers, DG systems, MCC/PCC panels, UPS, cable systems, lighting, earthing, and power distribution systems.
• Coordinate electrical works associated with HVAC, cleanroom systems, process equipment, utilities, and other MEP services.
• Conduct site inspections and monitor contractor performance and workmanship.
• Review and resolve technical issues, site discrepancies, and design-related queries.
• Track project progress, identify delays/risks, and coordinate corrective actions.
• Ensure electrical works comply with applicable GMP, safety, statutory, and pharmaceutical project requirements.
• Coordinate testing, commissioning, inspection, punch-point closure, and final project handover.
• Review and maintain project documentation, as-built drawings, test reports, inspection records, and handover documents.
• Participate in project meetings and provide regular progress updates to stakeholders.
• Ensure project activities are delivered within approved time, quality, and safety parameters.

Required Skills

• Strong knowledge of electrical project execution and site coordination.
• Hands-on experience in pharmaceutical / life-science projects is mandatory.
• Good understanding of HT/LT electrical systems and power distribution.
• Experience in electrical installation, testing, commissioning, and project handover.
• Ability to read and interpret SLD, electrical layouts, schematics, and technical specifications.
• Strong contractor and vendor management skills.
• Knowledge of project planning, progress monitoring, and documentation.
• Good communication, coordination, and problem-solving abilities.
• Proficiency in MS Office and relevant project/documentation tools.

Preferred Project Exposure

Candidates with experience in pharmaceutical manufacturing plants, API plants, formulation facilities, cleanrooms, laboratories, warehouses, utility buildings, or other life-science facilities will be preferred.

Eligibility

• 8+ years of relevant electrical project execution experience.
• Pharmaceutical industry experience is compulsory.
• B.E./B.Tech in Electrical Engineering.
• Candidates with strong project execution experience and minimal/no routine maintenance operations exposure are preferred.
