Job summary

Gh Induction is seeking an Electrical Design Engineer to gather customer requirements, prepare electrical layouts in EPLAN, and create load sheets, schematics, BOMs, and panel layouts for LV switchgear projects. The role involves coordinating with production, procurement and sales to ensure successful execution, while adhering to IEC/IS standards and coordinating with other disciplines.

Job description

Role & responsibilities

• Gathering customer requirements, inputs from cross functional teams, collecting required information from specifications, estimation team for designing electrical systems.
• Preparing electrical layout in EPLAN electrical design software.
• Preparing of load sheet, schematic diagrams for DOL, RDOL and Star/Delta starter, cut out drawings, legend preparation, SLDs as per load details, panel layouts, harness drawings, termination details, etc.
• Preparation wiring drawings for PLC, VFD, IO panels.
• General Arrangement drawings, Power Schematics, Control Schematics, Preparation of BOM, Switchgear selection as per Type-II coordination chart, basic Busbar selection, Protection relay selection, switchgear and control gear component selection.
• Co-ordination with production, purchase and sales team for execution of project.
• In depth knowledge of LV switchgear reputed manufacturers (like siemens, ABB, schneider etc.) is must.
• Ability to understand and interpret IEC / IS / other standards
• Panel design, wiring and testing of necessary for various equipment.
• Knowledge on Skid mounted electrics and process instruments, motors etc.
• Knowledge of Computer Application Software like MS PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Outlook etc.
• Coordination with other engineering disciplines for inputs and technical issues
• gather necessary data and input for accurate scheduling.
• Review and analyze project plans, identify potential issues, and propose solutions.
• Understanding project specifications and developing time schedules and budgets that meet them.
• Observing existing processes, analyzing staff performance, and addressing deficiencies

Preferred candidate profile

• Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Proven experience (3 to 6 years) in designing electrical systems, control panels, and low-voltage switchgear.
• Proficiency in EPLAN electrical design software.
