Job summary

Viking Consultancy is seeking an Electrical Design Engineer to prepare electrical drawings, SLDs and schematics, and to design LV starter panels and DBs. You will select equipment, create BOMs, review vendor drawings, and ensure compliance with IEC/IEEE/NEC standards.

Collaboration with mechanical and project teams will be essential. The role requires experience with PLC panels and proficiency in AutoCAD or similar software, supporting installation, testing, commissioning and troubleshooting

Qualifications

• Prepare electrical drawings, SLDs, schematics, layouts, IO lists and instrument data sheets.
• Design LV starter panels and distribution boards (DB).
• Select electrical equipment, cables and protection devices.
• Prepare cable schedules, equipment schedules and BOQs.
• Review vendor drawings and technical documents.
• Coordinate with mechanical and project teams.
• Ensure designs comply with IEC/IEEE/NEC standards.
• Knowledge in PLC panel design.
• Support installation, testing, commissioning and troubleshooting.
• Use AutoCAD or similar design software.
