Electrical Development Engineer — Power Transformers
Team: Electrical Development, Analysis & Automation |Reports to: Development Manager – Engineering |Location: On-site
Role Summary
The Electrical Development Engineer works within the central development and analysis group supporting power and autotransformer designs up to 345 kV / 315 MVA across multiple manufacturing plants. The position focuses on the engineering behind the design system itself: validating and enhancing design tools, harmonizing engineering manuals with the latest IEEE and IEC standards, performing advanced electromagnetic and dielectric analysis, resolving field and test-floor technical disputes, and qualifying new materials and components. The engineer works from first principles, benchmarks calculations against test data and legacy software, and converts findings into released standards, validated tools, and defensible technical reports.
