Job summary

Atlanta Electricals in Vadodara seeks an experienced Engineer to provide end-to-end technical oversight for heavy electrical equipment projects. You will coordinate design reviews, track manufacturing milestones, and support site commissioning with a focus on quality and on-time delivery.

The ideal candidate holds a B.E./B.Tech in Electrical Engineering with 2–5+ years in transformers or substations, and strong HV principles knowledge aligned to IEC/IEEE standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering required.
• 2 to 5+ years of experience in heavy electrical equipment, transformers, or substation project coordination.
• Strong knowledge of high-voltage principles, cooling capacities, short-circuit calculations, and IEC/IEEE standards.
• Experience with manufacturing oversight and site commissioning.

• End-to-End Technical Oversight: central technical authority from contract award through FAT and site commissioning.
• Design & Drawing Coordination with electrical & mechanical teams against industry standards.
• Schedule & Progress Tracking of manufacturing milestones using MS Project or Primavera P6.
• Quality & Cost Control: track budgets, review bids, and ensure KPIs for quality and on-time delivery.
• Site Support & Commissioning: coordinate logistics, oversee installation, resolve complex site queries.

Job description

Role & responsibilities

• End-to-End Technical Oversight: Serve as the central technical authority from contract award and initial client specification review through manufacturing, factory acceptance testing (FAT), and site commissioning.


• Design & Drawing Coordination: Collaborate with electrical and mechanical design teams to review general arrangement drawings, core/winding structures, cooling systems, and tank designs against industry standards.


• Schedule & Progress Tracking: Monitor manufacturing milestones in the shop floor, coordinate material requirements, and maintain master project schedules using tools like MS Project or Primavera P6.


• Quality & Cost Control: Track project budgets, review subcontractor/vendor bids, approve expenditures, and ensure key performance indicators (KPIs) for quality and on-time delivery are met.


• Site Support & Commissioning: Coordinate site logistics, oversee installation, and resolve complex technical site queries during testing and energization.

Preferred candidate profile

• Education: Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering.

• Industry Experience: 2 to 5+ years of experience in heavy electrical equipment, power transformers, or substation project coordination.

• Technical Knowledge: Strong foundation in high-voltage electrical principles, cooling capacities, short-circuit withstand calculations, and international standards (e.g., IEC 60076, IEEE C57).
