Job summary

Uppteam in Surat, India, invites applications for a Design Engineer who will coordinate with the Project Manager and Senior Engineer to deliver design calculations and drawings. You will lead electrical design activities, ensure quality, and maintain project records.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering from a reputable University is required.
• Demonstrated ability to work as a team player within a design team.
• Strong knowledge of electrical design principles and standards.

Responsibilities

• Manage major aspects of the electrical design of projects.
• Be responsible to Project Manager and Senior Engineer for organization, production, and quality of work.
• Act as Electrical Lead/Sub-lead depending on project scope.
• Coordinate design efforts with all other groups and maintain project records.
• Ensure compliance with relevant standards and procedures.
• Prepare and participate in design reviews.
• Design of Low Voltage Switchboards and LV sub-mains cabling, distribution and containment.
• Design of Power distribution to mechanical and public health equipment.
• Design of Earthing and bonding installations.
• Design of Lightning protection, Lighting, Lighting control and Emergency lighting.
• Electrical preliminary calculation
• Single line Diagrams
• Load Calculations
• Wire sizing & Voltage Drop Calculations
• Electrical Enlarged Room Plans / Sections
• Excellent Electrical knowledge with expertise in AutoCAD and Revit.
• Should have worked on US projects

The design Engineer shall coordinate with Project Manager and Senior Engineer/Technical Manager/Principal Engineer and be primarily involved in delivering the scheduled tasks in the form of design calculations and drawings. Expected to be a good team player within the design team, the Design Engineer will:

• Manage major aspects of the electrical design of projects.
