Job summary

Uppteam in Ahmedabad, India is seeking a Design Engineer to coordinate with the Project Manager and senior staff, delivering design calculations and drawings as part of the project schedule.

The role requires hands-on electrical design for LV switchboards, power distribution, earthing, lightning protection, and related diagrams, with strong CAD skills in AutoCAD and Revit, and prior US project exposure is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering from a reputable University.
• Experience in designing LV switchboards, LV sub-mains, distribution and containment.
• Excellent knowledge of electrical design standards and calculations.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit for design delivery.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with Project Manager and Senior Engineers to deliver scheduled design tasks.
• Lead electrical design efforts and ensure quality and timeliness.
• Coordinate with cross-functional groups and maintain project records.
• Prepare and participate in design reviews.
• Design LV switchboards, power distribution, earthing, lighting, and related wiring diagrams.

Job description

The design Engineer shall coordinate with Project Manager and Senior Engineer/Technical Manager/Principal Engineer and be primarily involved in delivering the scheduled tasks in the form of design calculations and drawings. Expected to be a good team player within the design team, the Design Engineer will:

• Manage major aspects of the electrical design of projects.
• Be responsible to both the Project Manager and the Senior Engineer/Technical Manager/Principal Engineer for the organization, production, and quality of work.
• Act as Electrical Lead/Sub-lead, depending on the scope of the project.
• Coordinate design efforts with all other groups, and maintain project records.
• Ensure compliance with relevant standards and procedures.
• Prepare and participate in design reviews.
• Design of Low Voltage Switchboards and LV sub-mains cabling, distribution and Containment
• Design of Power distribution to mechanical and public health equipment
• Design of Earthing and bonding installations
• Design of Lightning protection, Lighting, Lighting control and Emergency lighting
• Electrical preliminary calculation
• Single line Diagrams
• Load Calculations
• Wire sizing & Voltage Drop Calculations
• Electrical Enlarged Room Plans / Sections
• Excellent Electrical knowledge and with expertise to AutoCAD and Revit.
• Should have worked on US projects
