Job summary

Venwind Refex Power Ltd (Subsidiary of Refex Industries Ltd) seeks an experienced engineering professional to prepare detailed drawings and technical documents for AIS/GIS substations and related infrastructure. You will draft GA and SLDs, switchyard layouts, and cable routing, while coordinating with survey and site teams throughout execution.

The role requires 2–6 years’ experience in substation engineering and a diploma or bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, with AutoCAD proficiency

Qualifications

• 2–6 years of experience in detailed engineering drawings for substations and related projects.
• AutoCAD proficiency is preferred and advantageous.

Job description

We are looking for an experienced professional who will be responsible for preparing detailed engineering drawings, layouts, and technical documents for AIS/GIS Substations, Pooling Substations (PSS), 33 kV Overhead Lines, and associated electrical infrastructure projects. The role includes drafting, preparation of technical specifications, project coordination, and support during engineering and execution phases.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed engineering drawings for 33 kV, 132 kV, 220 kV and 400 kV AIS/GIS Substations.
• Prepare General Arrangement (GA) Drawings, Single Line Diagrams (SLD), Switchyard Layouts, Equipment Layouts, Control Room Layouts, Cable Routing Layouts, Cable Trench Layouts and Earthing Layouts.
• Preparation of route layouts and line profiles, pole/tower schedule drawings, stringing and construction drawings.
• Coordination with survey and site execution teams.
• Preparation of Power collecting Network and line loss calculation.
• Support to Preparation of technical specifications for Substation equipment .
• Preparation of BOQ and material schedules.
• Support in preparation of RFQ/RFP documents.
• Review of vendor drawings and technical documents.

Technical Skills

• Proficiency in AutoCAD. Certification in AutoCAD is preferred.
• Knowledge of AIS/GIS substation engineering.
• Understanding of cable routing, cable trench, and underground cable systems.
• Familiarity with 33 kV overhead line design and detailing.
• Knowledge of earthing and lightning protection systems.
• Working knowledge of IS, IEC, CBIP, and utility standards.
• Good command of MS Office.

Exp: 2 to 6 yrs

Qualification: Diploma / Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering.
