Role Overview

The Electrical BIM Engineer is responsible for developing and coordinating BIM models for Electrical and ELV systems from design through as-built stages. The role focuses on delivering accurate, clash‑free Revit models, layouts, BOQs, and construction‑ready documentation in line with the BIM Execution Plan and project standards. You will work closely with design, coordination, and site teams to ensure buildable, high‑quality electrical BIM deliverables that support smooth project execution.

BIM Modeling & Coordination

• Develop detailed BIM models for Electrical & ELV systems from design development through construction and as‑built stages, ensuring coordination with all allied services.
• Ensure strict compliance with the BIM Execution Plan (BEP), project‑specific BIM standards, and defined workflows.
• Perform interdisciplinary coordination and clash detection, identifying and resolving conflicts proactively to avoid site‑level issues.

Electrical Design & Documentation

• Prepare comprehensive lighting, power, cable tray, and conduiting layouts in line with design intent and project standards.
• Prepare fire alarm and public address (PA) system layouts in accordance with applicable codes, standards, and project requirements.
• Generate electrical layouts, sections, elevations, and detailed drawings suitable for construction and coordination.

Quantity Take‑offs & BOQs

• Utilize Revit schedules to prepare accurate quantity take‑offs and Bills of Quantities (BOQs) for Electrical and ELV services.
• Ensure quantities are coordinated, validated, and aligned with design revisions and approved drawings.

Revit Family Development

• Create, modify, and manage Revit families for electrical fixtures, equipment, and devices as per project and company standards.
• Maintain consistency, accuracy, and usability of families across models and projects.

Quality Control & Standards Compliance

• Perform thorough quality checks on models and drawings to ensure completeness, accuracy, and adherence to company and project standards.
• Maintain proper version control and documentation discipline to minimize errors and rework.

Project Communication & Documentation

• Track and document major project decisions and Minutes of Meetings (MoMs) throughout the project lifecycle.
• Coordinate with internal teams, consultants, and stakeholders to ensure clarity, alignment, and timely resolution of design and coordination issues.
