Job summary

Egis Road Operation India is seeking an Electrical BIM Modeler in Bengaluru to develop precise 3D BIM models and 2D drawings for electrical systems. The role involves collaborating with engineers to ensure designs meet project standards and client requirements, with emphasis on accuracy and timely delivery.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of BIM experience in buildings, strong Revit MEP/AutoCAD skills, and familiarity with ACC workflows, Navisworks and related tools.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in electrical BIM modeling within Buildings.
• Proficiency in Revit MEP, AutoCAD and cloud collaboration tools.
• Experience with 3D modeling, 2D drafting and coordination across teams.

Responsibilities

• Develop accurate 3D BIM models using Revit and AutoCAD in a shared ACC environment.
• Model electrical panels, power distribution, lighting, and control systems.
• Produce 2D schematics, single-line diagrams and layout drawings per standards.
• Coordinate with Electrical Lead and engineers to meet design specs.
• Create construction-ready schematics and schedules; perform clash detection.
• Maintain up-to-date models reflecting phased construction and turnover.

About The Role

The Electrical BIM Modeler will be responsible for 2D drafting and 3D modeling of building electrical systems, power and control and lighting.

Job Description

• Develop accurate 3D BIM models using Revit, AutoCAD, in collaboration with ACC workshared environment.
• 3D Modeling of Electrical Panels, Power distribution boards, Transformers, Control systems and relay racks, Conduit routing, Cable trays and raceways, Power outlets, lighting fixtures, emergency systems, Grounding systems.
• 2D Drafting of Schematics & Single-Line Diagrams, Cable Routing & Trench Details, Lighting Layouts, Electrical Room Layouts, Annotations & Legends per ICAO/IES Standards with decent knowledge of Sheet Composition.
• Collaborate closely with Electrical Lead and engineers to ensure models adhere to design specifications.
• Produce design-development to Issue-For-Construction schematics, models, drawings, details and schedules.
• Perform interdisciplinary and interface design coordination and clash detection using Navisworks with ACC model coordination interoperability.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date models reflecting the phased construction and turnover of geometrical and non-geometrical asset data.

What do we need from you

• Diploma or Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in electrical BIM modeling within Buildings.
• Proficient in software, plugins, and cloud-based platforms including Revit MEP, AutoCAD, Autodesk Construction Cloud, Navisworks, Bluebeam Revu, Dynamo for Revit. Experience with MicroStation and Civil 3D is an asset.
• Demonstrated experience in 3D modeling and 2D Drafting of electrical systems, power and control systems, lighting and grounding systems.
• Facilitating clear communication with the design team, self-motivated with a continuous learning mindset, strong time management and task prioritization skills.
