Job summary

BuildxPartners in Chennai is seeking an Electrical BIM Modeler with strong Revit MEP skills to join our engineering team. You will model electrical systems, produce drawings, and ensure coordinated BIM models for building services projects.

The role requires coordinating with Mechanical, Structural, and Architectural teams, performing clash detection, and delivering high-quality documentation in line with BIM standards and client requirements.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
• 3-10 years of experience as an Electrical BIM Modeler in building services or MEP projects.
• Strong proficiency in Revit MEP with hands-on electrical modeling experience.
• Good understanding of electrical systems, codes, and design principles.
• Working knowledge of Navisworks and AutoCAD.
• Familiarity with BIM standards, workflows, and multidisciplinary coordination processes.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
• Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and update electrical BIM models using Revit MEP for lighting, power, ELV, and containment systems.
• Produce detailed electrical drawings, including layouts, schematics, and single-line diagrams from BIM models.
• Coordinate with Mechanical, Plumbing, Structural, and Architectural disciplines to ensure clash-free designs.
• Perform clash detection and coordination reviews using Navisworks and support issue resolution.
• Adhere to project BIM standards, Level of Development (LOD) requirements, and client specifications.
• Generate schedules, material take-offs, and project documentation from BIM models.
• Participate in design coordination meetings and support project delivery milestones.
• Ensure accuracy, quality, and consistency of BIM deliverables throughout the project lifecycle.
