Job summary

Burns & McDonnell India is seeking a talented CAD engineer to execute 2D drawings for electrical systems on industrial facilities, including power distribution and solar projects. You will coordinate with multiple disciplines and support the BMUS team while delivering within scope, schedule, and quality norms.

Ideal candidates hold a Diploma/ITI and 4–12 years of relevant experience, with strong AutoCAD and MicroStation skills, plus familiarity with ACC.

Qualifications

• The candidate should have a Diploma/ITI certification.
• The candidate should have a work experience of 4-12 years

Responsibilities

• Execute CAD/Storage/Solar Projects independently.
• Coordinate with other disciplines and BMUS.
• Manage the assigned scope within agreed schedule, budget and complying with agreed project quality norms.
• Willing to advance in career by taking increased responsibilities on projects and organization.
• Development of 2D drawings of electrical systems for industrial facilities (e.g., single line diagrams, layouts, lighting, grounding).
• Solar Skills - Familiar with Utility Solar system (DC connection, String Combiner, Inverter Skid, MV AV Collection).
• Solar system deliverables - Layouts, site plan, single line diagrams, cable routing, grounding, equipment layouts.
• Strong command on AutoCAD and Microstation; knowledge of AutoCAD Construction Cloud (ACC).
• Coordinate with other disciplines and stakeholders to develop a clash-free system design.
• Assist experienced engineers in preparing, coordinating and reviewing deliverables.
• A committed team player able to work on own initiative.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication skills (verbal & written).

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for development of 2D drawing of various electrical systems for industrial facilities like single line diagram of power systems, electrical equipment layout, hazardous area classification drawing, interconnection & hook-up drawing, lighting, grounding and lightning protection systems.

• Solar Skills - Familiar with Utility Solar system - DC connection, String Combiner, Inverter Skid, MV AV Collection etc.

• Solar system deliverables - Array Layout, Overall Site Plan, AC & DC Single Line, Cable Routing, Cable Trench/Crossing Details, Grounding, Equipment - Module, Combiner, String/Central Inverter, Transformer etc.

• Strong command on AutoCAD and Microstation - Able to write auto Scripts to help Automozation, Knowledge of AutoCAD Construction Cloud (ACC)

• Coordinate with other disciplines and other stake holder(s) to develop a clash free system design.

• Assist more experienced engineers in preparing, coordinating and reviewing deliverables for the discipline.

• A committed team player able to work on own initiative.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Good Communication skills (verbal & written) and ability to self-check and produce accurate work.
