Job summary

Burns & McDonnell India seeks an Electrical Engineer with 2–3 years of experience to contribute to water and wastewater projects in Mumbai. You will design and draft electrical and control system drawings, model equipment in Revit, and coordinate with multidisciplinary teams.

B.E./B.Tech in Electrical Engineering is required. The role offers growth within a global engineering leader with strong collaboration across offices and flexible work options where applicable.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) / Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech.) in Electrical Engineering.
• 2–3 years of experience in design for electrical systems in water/wastewater projects.
• Proficiency with Revit, AutoCAD and Plant 3D for electrical design and coordination.

Responsibilities

• Design and drafting of construction drawings for electrical and control systems in water and wastewater facilities.
• 3D modelling of electrical and instrumentation equipment in Revit.
• 2D design and detailing for LV/MV drawings, layout of equipment, cable trays, conduit using Revit and AutoCAD.
• Coordinate with engineers and designers across multidisciplinary teams for project standards.
• Collaborate with multiple Burns & McDonnell offices for design consistency.

Your Responsibilities

• Design and drafting of construction drawings for electrical and control systems in industrial and municipal water and wastewater treatment facilities.
• 3D modelling of electrical & instrumentation equipment in Revit.
• 2D design and detailing for medium and low voltage one-line drawings, layout of electrical equipment, cable tray, conduit, duct bank, area classification, panel design, motor schematics, wiring diagram, grounding system, lighting systems, and instrumentation layout using Revit and AutoCAD.
• Collaboration with engineers and designers across multidisciplinary teams to ensure design coordination and compliance with project and industry standards.
• Coordination with multiple BMcD offices for project execution and design consistency.
• Support development of innovative design solutions and contribute to continuous improvement in design practices.
• Ensure all deliverables meet defined quality standards, adhere to project schedules, and client expectations.

Qualifications

Education:

Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) / Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech.) in Electrical Engineering

Experience

Years of Experience: 2-3 years

Technical Skills Required

• Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, and Plant 3D for Electrical design and coordination.
• Experience in industrial and municipal water and wastewater treatment projects.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and time-management skills.
