Job summary

Larsen & Toubro is seeking a PHE design engineer in Chennai to design plumbing and public health systems, emphasizing water efficiency, sustainability, and hygiene compliance.

You will develop water supply and drainage layouts, perform hydraulic calculations, and coordinate with civil, architectural, and other MEP teams to ensure proper service routing and regulatory adherence.

Qualifications

• B.E./B.Tech. in Civil or Mechanical engineering.
• 3–7 years of PHE design experience.

Responsibilities

• Develop water supply, drainage, and stormwater layouts.
• Design rainwater harvesting and solid waste systems.
• Perform hydraulic calculations and size tanks/pumps.
• Coordinate with civil/architectural and other MEP teams for routing.
• Ensure IS code and local regulation compliance.
• Prepare design drawings and inputs to MEP systems.
• Support BIM model development, documentation, and revisions.
• Assist in design validation and reviews with senior engineers.
