Job summary

PeopleStrong in Chennai is seeking a PHE design engineer with 3-7 years of experience to design plumbing and public health systems. You will develop water supply, drainage, and stormwater layouts, perform hydraulic calculations, and coordinate with civil/architectural teams for efficient service routing.

Role involves ensuring hygiene compliance, IS code adherence, and contributing to BIM model development and design documentation.

Qualifications

• BE/BTech Civil/Mechanical with 3-7 years of PHE design experience.
• Bachelor of Technology (BTech) in Civil Engineering with relevant PHE experience.

Responsibilities

• Develop water supply, drainage, and stormwater system layouts.
• Design of rainwater harvesting systems, solid waste collection systems.
• Perform hydraulic calculations and sizing of tanks and pumps.
• Coordinate with civil and architectural teams and other MEP teams for service routing.
• Ensure compliance with IS codes and local regulations.
• Prepare design drawings and inputs to MEP systems and support co-ordination.
• Assist in BIM model development, design documentation, and revisions.
• Conduct basic design validation and support senior engineers in design reviews.
