Job summary

Larsen & Toubro is seeking a Design Engineer – MEP (FPS) to assist in Fire Protection System design, ensuring NFPA and NBC compliance. The role focuses on creating basic sprinkler and hydrant layouts, supporting hydraulics, BOMs, and vendor coordination on-site in Chennai.

Ideal candidates hold a mechanical engineering degree with 3–7 years FPS design experience and are proficient in AutoCAD, Revit, and MS Office, with strong team coordination and communication skills for on-site coordination.

• B.E./B.Tech. in Mechanical engineering with 3–7 years FPS design experience.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and MS Office.
• Ability to coordinate with on-site teams, consultants and vendors.

Responsibilities

• Develop basic layouts for sprinkler and hydrant systems.
• Support hydraulic calculations, material estimation, and BOQ preparation.
• Assist in reviewing vendor drawings and system coordination.
• Maintain design documentation and revision control.
