Job summary

Larsen & Toubro in Chennai is looking for an entry-level BIM Modeler to support the creation of BIM models and construction drawings. You will work closely with senior modelers to develop discipline-specific elements while adhering to project BIM standards.

The ideal candidate has a diploma in Electrical and proficiency in BIM software such as Revit and AutoCAD, along with a keen eye for detail and team collaboration skills.

Qualifications

• 3–7 years of experience in BIM modeling or freshers with internship exposure.
• Proficiency in BIM software including Revit and Navisworks.

Responsibilities

• Create and update 3D parametric BIM models.
• Extract drawings, sections, schedules, and BOQs from models.
• Support clash detection and issue resolution.

Entry-level role responsible for supporting the creation of BIM models and construction drawings under guidance. Works closely with senior modelers and coordinators to develop discipline‑specific elements using industry‑standard software tools while adhering to project and organizational BIM standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Create and update 3D parametric BIM models.
• Extract drawings, sections, schedules, and BOQs from models.
• Support clash detection and issue resolution processes.
• Ensure adherence to project BIM standards and execution plans.
• Coordinate with engineers and leads for design accuracy.

Key Interactions

• Senior Modelers – Task assignment and model review.
• BIM Coordinators – Model updates and issue tracking.

Knowledge & Experience

• Diploma, ITI or equivalent in Electrical.
• English and regional language (preferred).
• 3–7 years of experience in BIM modeling.
• Freshers or those with internship/entry‑level exposure to BIM modeling in buildings or infrastructure.

Technical Skills

• Proficiency in BIM software (Revit, Navisworks, AutoCAD).
• Understanding of construction drawings and detailing.
• Basic interdisciplinary knowledge (Architecture, Structure, MEP).
