Job summary

Tangentia is seeking an experienced EDI Developer to design, develop, and support EDI solutions for trading partners and internal teams. You will work on maps for X12, EDIFACT, XML, and ANSI and ensure secure data exchange across ERP, WMS, TMS, and backend systems.

The role requires 2–5 years of hands-on EDI experience, strong troubleshooting skills, and the ability to work independently with multiple trading partners in a remote setup.

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced EDI Developer with 2–5 years of hands-on experience in designing, developing, and supporting Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) solutions. The role involves working closely with internal teams, trading partners, and third-party vendors to ensure reliable, secure, and timely data exchange across business systems.

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain EDI maps for standard formats such as X12, EDIFACT, XML, and ANSI

Onboard and support trading partners, including setup, testing, and production deployment

Monitor and troubleshoot EDI transactions, acknowledgments (997/999), and error handling

Ensure compliance with industry standards and partner-specific implementation guides

Integrate EDI data with ERP, WMS, TMS, and backend systems

Work with business analysts and stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into EDI solutions

Perform unit testing, end-to-end testing, and support UAT activities

Maintain technical documentation, mapping specifications, and partner profiles

Support production issues, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives

Ensure data security, accuracy, and adherence to SLA requirements

Required Skills & Qualifications

2–5 years of experience as an EDI Developer or EDI Analyst

Strong hands-on experience with EDI standards: X12 (850, 810, 856, 940/945, 204, etc.), EDIFACT

Experience with EDI tools/platforms (any of the following):

IBM Sterling

OpenText

SEEBURGER

Boomi

MuleSoft

Experience with communication protocols: AS2, SFTP, FTP/S, HTTP/S

Good understanding of business processes in Supply Chain, Logistics, Retail, or Manufacturing

Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills
