Job summary

Eaton Corporation's Corporate IT team is seeking a System Analyst – EDI to join our EDI team. This role drives enterprise digitization and supports global B2B EDI customers and suppliers across the Americas, EMEA, and APAC.

You will work with cross-functional teams to enable scalable EDI solutions aligned with transformation goals, participate in agile ceremonies, and ensure DoR for user stories. You will also handle end-to-end trading partner onboarding and EDI-related incidents.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in a technical discipline and relevant SAP EDI experience.
• 6 to 12 years of SAP EDI and Sterling B2B Integrator experience.
• Strong knowledge of EDI standards (X12, EDIFACT) and SAP EDI onboarding.
• Excellent verbal and written communication with stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary point of contact for EDI integrations involving SAP SD/MM and EDI business processes.
• Decompose epics into features and user stories with the EDI Product Owner.
• Maintain a prioritized product backlog and ensure requirements are clear and ready for development.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand operational challenges and recommend effective EDI-enabled solutions.
• Provide Level 3 support for EDI production incidents and perform root cause analysis.
• Lead end-to-end trading partner onboarding activities, including SAP setup and EDI mapping.
• Analyze and troubleshoot EDI transactions across SAP and Sterling Integrator.

What you’ll do:

Eaton’s Corporate IT team is seeking a System Analyst – EDI to join our EDI team. This role is pivotal in driving enterprise digitization and supporting our global B2B EDI customers and suppliers across the Americas, EMEA, and APAC regions.

As part of our product-centric, results-driven IT model, the System Analyst will play a key role in enabling efficient, scalable EDI solutions that align with Eaton’s digital transformation goals. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure timely delivery, continuous improvement, and alignment with architectural standards.

• Serve as the primary point of contact for EDI integrations involving SAP SD/MM and EDI business processes.
• Partner with the EDI Product Owner to decompose epics into actionable features and user stories aligned with business objectives.
• Collaborate with the Product Owner to maintain a prioritized and well-groomed product backlog, ensuring requirements are clear and ready for development.
• Engage with business stakeholders to understand operational challenges and recommend effective EDI-enabled solutions.
• Support Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, backlog refinement, and effort estimation for epics, features, technical enablers, and user stories.
• Ensure user stories meet the Definition of Ready (DoR) before entering development.
• Provide Level 3 support for EDI production incidents, performing root cause analysis and driving timely issue resolution.
• Collaborate with Customer Service, Supply Chain, SAP functional teams, and IT teams to gather, analyze, and document business requirements.
• Assess the impact of business process changes on SAP and EDI solutions, ensuring alignment between technical capabilities and business needs.
• Lead end-to-end trading partner onboarding activities, including requirements gathering, SAP setup coordination, EDI mapping, testing, and production deployment.
• Work closely with SAP functional consultants, EDI developers, and business teams to ensure successful end-to-end integration solutions.
• Analyze and troubleshoot EDI transactions across SAP and Sterling Integrator environments, including X12, EDIFACT, and XML message formats.
• Monitor EDI transaction flows and proactively identify opportunities to improve process efficiency, data quality, and system reliability.
• Support testing activities, including SIT, UAT, and production validation for EDI enhancements and implementations.
• Maintain functional documentation, process flows, onboarding guides, and operational procedures related to SAP EDI integrations.

Skills:
