Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking an experienced EDI Developer to manage end-to-end EDI and EDIFACT transaction development in Pune, India. The role involves configuring complex EDI mappings and collaborating with PMs, QA, and other stakeholders to deliver scalable solutions.

The candidate should have a solid understanding of data flow, database structures, and the ability to produce clear specifications, flow charts and pseudo-code for new or updated applications. Bachelor’s degree in CS is required.

Qualifications

• Develop and deploy EDI and EDIFACT transactions.
• End-to-end EDI lifecycle development from Specification to production installation.
• Ability to provide specification, flow charts and/or pseudo-code for design.
• Strong mapping for data elements and transaction sets compliance.

• They will work with Project Managers, fellow developers, QA teams, senior staff and other key stakeholders as required for delivery of solutions.

Requirements

• Understanding of business concepts, business rules, data flow and database structures of supported systems.


• Develop and deploy EDI and EDIFACT transactions.


• Good understand of end-to-end EDI lifecycle development from Specification to production installation.


• Ability to provide specification, flow charts and/or pseudo-code for design of new or updates to applications.


• Strong understanding for the mapping of data elements


• Strong understanding of the compliant vs. noncompliant aspects of data elements for all transaction sets.


• Easily define and document flow-chart logic and data-flow diagrams.


• Suggest changes and improvement where necessary to aid growth and scalability.


• Ability to develop and maintain EDI transactions.


• Including 810, 846, 850, 855, 856, 860, 865, 867, 870, and 997.


• Ability to map/configure in both ANSI X.12 EDI and EDIFACT formats.


• Ability to map/configure XML, CBXML, iDoc.


• Strong verbal and written communication.


• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field.
