Job summary

Mouser Electronics in Bengaluru, India is seeking an experienced EDI specialist to design, develop and deploy EDI/EDIFACT transactions across supplier and customer interfaces.

You will map data elements, define flowcharts, ensure compliance of data elements, and document end-to-end EDI lifecycle from specification to production install, using ANSI X.12, EDIFACT, XML, CBXML and IDoc standards.

Qualifications

• Experience designing and deploying EDI/EDIFACT transactions across systems.
• Ability to define specification, flowcharts, and pseudo-code for design.
• Strong mapping of data elements and ensuring compliant data handling.
• Documentation of end-to-end EDI lifecycle from specifications to production.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deploy EDI/EDIFACT transactions including 810, 846, 850, 855, 856, 860, 865, 867, 870 and 997.
• Map and configure in ANSI X.12 EDI, EDIFACT, XML, CBXML and IDoc formats.
• Provide clear specifications and diagrams for new or updated applications.
• Suggest improvements to support growth and scalability.

Job description

• Understanding of business concepts, business rules, data flow and database structures of supported systems.
• Develop and deploy EDI and EDIFACT transactions.
• Good understand of end-to-end EDI lifecycle development from Specification to production installation.
• Ability to provide specification, flow charts and/or pseudo-code for design of new or updates to applications.
• Strong understanding for the mapping of data elements
• Strong understanding of the compliant vs. noncompliant aspects of data elements for all transaction sets.
• Easily define and document flow-chart logic and data-flow diagrams.
• Suggest changes and improvement where necessary to aid growth and scalability.
• Ability to develop and maintain EDI transactions.
• Including 810, 846, 850, 855, 856, 860, 865, 867, 870, and 997.
• Ability to map/configure in both ANSI X.12 EDI and EDIFACT formats.
• Ability to map/configure XML, CBXML, iDoc.
• Strong verbal and written communication.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field.
