Job description

We're looking for an E-Commerce Manager who can think business, understand consumers, love numbers, and execute at speed. This is not just about managing marketplaces. You'll be expected to own the business, build the growth plan and make it happen.

What You'll Own

As E-Commerce Manager, you'll own the growth and performance of key e-commerce channels and work closely with marketplace partners and internal teams to deliver revenue, profitability, market share and consumer growth. You'll operate at the intersection of business planning, key accounts, media, promotions, inventory, content and execution.

What You'll Do
Business & P&L Ownership
  • Own revenue and business performance across assigned e-commerce channels.
  • Build annual, quarterly and monthly business plans aligned to overall company objectives.
  • Drive growth while maintaining a sharp focus on profitability, contribution margins and trade spends.
  • Track business performance, identify gaps and proactively build recovery/growth plans.
  • Own forecasting and support demand planning for assigned channels.
  • Identify opportunities across categories, SKUs, packs, pricing and consumer cohorts.
Key Account Management
  • Build strong relationships with key marketplace partners
  • Lead Joint Business Planning (JBP), commercial negotiations and annual agreements with key accounts.
  • Negotiate visibility, promotions, platform investments and other commercial opportunities.
  • Build strong relationships with category managers and marketplace leadership to unlock growth opportunities.
Sales, Promotions & Events
  • Build the promotional calendar across marketplaces and own execution of key sale events.
  • Determine the right assortment, pricing, discounts, visibility and investment strategy for each event.
  • Analyse post-event performance and continuously improve future plans.
  • Balance aggressive growth with sustainable unit economics.
Media & Growth
  • Work closely with Performance Marketing and marketplace teams to drive traffic, conversion and revenue.
  • Monitor metrics such as ROAS/ACOS, traffic, CTR, conversion, ASP, share of search and new customer acquisition.
  • Identify opportunities to improve discoverability and conversion across platforms.
  • Connect media investments with actual business outcomes rather than looking at advertising metrics in isolation.
Catalogue & Consumer Experience
  • Ensure strong representation of Plum across marketplaces—from search results to PDPs and brand stores.
  • Partner with Content, Creative and Brand teams to continuously improve product listings, imagery, A+ content and communication.
  • Monitor ratings, reviews and consumer feedback and translate insights into actions.
Inventory & Operational Excellence
  • Work closely with Supply Chain and Planning teams to ensure healthy inventory across marketplaces.
  • Monitor DOH, fill rates, OOS, ageing inventory and forecast accuracy.
  • Anticipate demand around campaigns and sale events to minimize lost business opportunities.
  • Partner with Operations teams to resolve catalogue, order, inventory and marketplace issues.
Analytics & Business Reviews
  • Build a strong operating rhythm around daily, weekly and monthly business performance.
  • Analyse marketplace and category data to identify trends, risks and opportunities.
  • Lead periodic business reviews with internal stakeholders and marketplace partners.
  • Translate data into clear actions—not just dashboards.
Cross-Functional Leadership
  • Work closely with Brand, Performance Marketing, Supply Chain, Finance, Content, Creative and Operations teams.
  • Bring clarity on priorities, ownership and timelines across stakeholders.
  • Ensure plans translate into flawless on-platform execution.
  • Coach and develop junior team members while creating strong ownership within the team.
What We're Looking For
  • 5–7 years of experience in E-Commerce, Marketplace Management, Key Accounts, Category Management or Digital Commerce.
  • Hands-on experience managing large marketplace accounts for an FMCG, Beauty, Personal Care, Consumer or Digital First brand.
  • Strong understanding of marketplace economics, commercial negotiations and P&L.
  • Demonstrated experience managing meaningful revenue/business targets.
  • Strong analytical ability and advanced comfort with Excel and business data.
  • Understanding of marketplace media/performance marketing and its relationship with topline growth.
  • Strong negotiation and relationship-management skills.
  • Ability to operate across both strategy and execution.
  • Strong stakeholder and people-management capabilities.
