Job summary

Aptiv is hiring an ECAD Engineer in Bengaluru to design and verify multilayer and HDI PCBs, focusing on reliability, manufacturability, and cost efficiency. You will create schematics, layouts, and production docs using Mentor and Siemens ECAD tools, while developing stack-ups and supporting DFM/DFA/DFT activities.

The role requires 6–8 years in PCB design, strong ECAD tool experience, and familiarity with automotive PCB design.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical & Electronics Engineering, Electronics & Communication Engineering, or related.
• 6 to 8 years of hands-on PCB design experience including multilayer and HDI development.
• Strong expertise in ECAD tools such as Mentor Graphics Xpedition, Siemens Xpedition, DxDesigner, and Valor.
• Solid understanding of digital and analog circuit design, PCB layout principles, and engineering documentation.
• Automotive PCB design experience and knowledge of high-speed signal simulation tools such as HyperLynx is a plus.

Responsibilities

YOUR ROLE

• Design and verify multilayer and HDI PCBs with a focus on reliability, manufacturability, and cost optimization.
• Create and support schematic designs, PCB layouts, and production documentation using Mentor/Siemens ECAD tools such as Xpedition, DxDesigner, and Valor.
• Develop PCB stack-ups, tooling drawings, and support Design for Manufacturing (DFM), Design for Assembly (DFA), and Design for Test (DFT) activities.
• Perform design verification, circuit analysis, and collaborate with local and global engineering teams to ensure successful project execution.
• Participate in technical reviews and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that enhance product quality and business impact.

YOUR BACKGROUND

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical & Electronics Engineering, Electronics & Communication Engineering, or a related discipline.
• 6 to 8 years of hands‑on experience in PCB design, including multilayer and HDI board development.
• Strong expertise in ECAD tools such as Mentor Graphics Xpedition, Siemens Xpedition, DxDesigner, and Valor.
• Solid understanding of digital and analog circuit design, PCB layout principles, and engineering documentation.
• Automotive PCB design experience and knowledge of high‑speed signal simulation tools such as HyperLynx will be an advantage.
