Job summary

Aptiv in Chennai, India seeks an ECAD Engineer to guide OEM customers by delivering quality PCB component libraries for diverse product designs.

You will maintain schematic symbols and geometry cells, create and review library assets, collaborate with local and remote engineering teams, and ensure on-time delivery in line with ASUX quality standards. Hands-on with Mentor Graphics Xpedition is preferred, and you will participate in continuous library improvements.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelors/Masters in Electrical & Electronics or Electronics & Communication Engineering.
• 5-8 years of experience in the PCB component librarian role.
• Hands-on experience with ECAD tools, preferably Mentor Graphics Xpedition tool flow.
• Good English skills (spoken and written).
• Strong communication skills and problem solving abilities.

Your Role

An ECAD engineer (Librarian) guides Aptiv’s automotive OEM customers in having the best in class electronics by delivering quality component library to carry out PCB designs for wide range of products.

Key responsibilities

• Operational maintenance of the component library database including schematic symbols and geometry cells
• Create, modify, review, and approve schematic symbols and cells
• Improve and incorporate design for manufacturin
• Co-operation with local and remote engineering teams

Your Background

• Working towards a Bachelors/Masters in Electrical & Electronics/Electronics & Communication Engineering
• 5-8 years of experience in the PCB component librarian role

• Good English skills (both spoken and written)
