The Dynamics Administrator supports the configuration, administration, and day-to-day maintenance of our Microsoft Dynamics 365 Customer Service environment. Based in our India office and working under the direction of and in partnership with the US-based Dynamics Administrator, this role helps execute process updates, build and test configurations, support existing integrations and automations, and maintain system documentation. This is a growth-oriented position: the successful candidate will deepen their Dynamics 365 and Power Platform skills over time and take on increasing ownership as they develop
Core Job Duties
- Assist in building and deploying configuration changes (custom fields, forms, views, dashboards, security roles) following established best practices and under guidance from the senior administrator
- Support day-to-day administration of Dynamics 365 Customer Service, including user setup, security roles, and routine maintenance
- Help write and execute test plans and perform system validation testing for new release previews and customizations
- Respond to and triage incoming issues (access, data accuracy, performance), resolving routine items and escalating complex problems to the senior administrator
- Build and maintain simple automations and workflows using Power Automate and the Power Platform
- Work with Dataverse tables, relationships, and data to support configuration, data quality, and reporting needs
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and support existing third-party integrations and data flows, escalating issues that require build or architecture changes
- Assist with data tasks in Excel (cleanup, validation, imports/exports, pivot analysis)
- Create and maintain system documentation, including configuration notes, test cases, and admin/how-to guides
- Collaborate with US-based team members across time zones, participating in handoffs, stand-ups, and knowledge-sharing
- Proactively build knowledge of Dynamics 365 and the Power Platform and share what you learn with the team
Job Complexity
Works on assignments that are semi-routine to moderately complex in nature. Applies working knowledge of Dynamics 365 and the Power Platform to defined problems with some latitude, and escalates non-routine issues. Exercises judgment within established guidelines and best practices
Interaction
Works closely with the US-based Dynamics Administrator and functional teams. Communicates clearly across time zones; asks questions and seeks guidance appropriately.
Supervision
Works under the general supervision and guidance of the Senior Manager Intelligent Business Systems. Does not supervise others.
Experience
Typicallyrequires 2-4 years of related experience (Dynamics 365, Power Platform, CRM, or business-systems administration) with a Bachelor's degree, or equivalent experience.
Minimum Qualifications
- 2-4 years of hands-on experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 and/or the Power Platform (or comparable CRM / business-systems experience)
- Working knowledge of the Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate)
- Familiarity with Dataverse (tables, relationships, basic data modeling)
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups/formulas, data cleanup)
- Understanding of how integrations and data flows move data between systems, and willingness to help support and troubleshoot them
- Ability to follow documented processes and produce clear, accurate documentation
- Good written and verbal English communication skills; comfortable working with a remote, US-based team
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and competing priorities
- Willingness to learn and grow into greater ownership over time
Nice to Have:
- Familiarity with Dynamics 365 Customer Service concepts - cases, queues, SLAs, routing, and entitlements
- Microsoft certification relevant to the role - PL-200 (Power Platform Functional Consultant) or MB-230 (Dynamics 365Customer Service Functional Consultant); PL-900 (Power Platform Fundamentals) acceptable as a baseline
- Experience deploying changes via Dynamics solutions across multiple environments (Dev/QA/UAT/Prod)
- Experience with data import/migration tooling (Configuration Migration tool, Data Import Wizard, or Excel-based imports)
- Experience supporting or troubleshooting integrations between systems
- Exposure to ERP or broader business-systems concepts
- Working knowledge of Power BI and SharePoint
- Familiarity with responsible, governed use of AI-assisted tooling in a business environment
