Job summary

Mahindra And Mahindra Ltd. seeks a Supplier Development Engineer with 4–7 years of experience in sheet metal components. You will drive PPAP, APQP, and supplier quality initiatives, coordinating with multiple stakeholders to ensure manufacturability and on-time delivery.

The role requires strong analytical ability, SAP familiarity, and effective collaboration with internal and external teams. This is a on-site position in Maharashtra, Chakan region.

Qualifications

• BE/BTech in Mechanical or Automobile engineering
• 4-7 years of experience in supplier development / PPAP for sheet metal components
• Practical knowledge of sheet metal components and processes
• Good analytical abilities
• Basic SAP knowledge

Responsibilities

• Thoroughly understand engineering deliverables and supplier manufacturing processes for sheet metal components.
• Finalize FTG requirements and deploy them appropriately.
• Develop right quality of parts to support production levels following APQP process.
• Study drawings to confirm manufacturability.
• Select vendors per guiding policy for the part.
• Plan process at supplier end and prepare PFCA and control plan.
• Coordinate with all stakeholders.
• Cover PPAP and PSW elements as applicable.
• PPAP trial run, inspect parts and clear PPAP.
• Meet MPDS gateways for project targets.
• Involve in project feasibility studies.
• Ensure 100% GR acceptance for parts after PPAP approval.
• Ensure on-time closure of DFM, VOB, TKO, etc.
• Demonstrate interpersonal skills to manage internal & external stakeholders.
• Develop and deploy processes to monitor supplier component development.
• Supplier performance improvements - QCD targets.
• Support CRUSADE initiatives.
• Drive IMCR/Ideation initiatives.
• Problem solving through 8D approach.
• Support pricing for cost estimation and part costing.
• Coordinate parts availability per project milestone.
• Part clearance from quality.

• 1.Thorough in technical knowledge in engineering deliverables & Supplier Manufacturing Process for Sheet Metal components.
• 2. FTG Requirements finalization and their appropriate deployment
• 3. Develop right quality of parts to support desired production levels following APQP process
• 4. Study the drawing and to confirm the manufacturability.
• 5. Select the vendor as per guiding policy for the part.
• 6. Plan process at supplier end and to prepare PFC and control plan
• 7. Co-ordinating with all stake holders
• 8. Cover applicable elements of PPAP and PSW
• 9. PPAP trial run, check the parts and clear PPAP
• 10.Meet the Gateways as per MPDS (Mahindra Product Development System) targets for projects.
• 11. Get actively involved in project feasibility studies.
• 12. Ensure 100% GR acceptance for the parts after PPAP approval
