Job summary

Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. Mohali invites an experienced Mechanical Engineer to join its machine shop quality team. You will monitor OEE, lead PFMEA, control plans, CP/CPK, and Kaizen initiatives to drive quality improvements across production.

The candidate should hold BE/BTech in Mechanical (ME/MTech preferred) and have at least 4 years’ shop-floor experience, with proficiency in Six Sigma, CAD, SPC and MS Office. Prior exposure to 5S and process controls is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical or related field.
• Minimum 4 years of machine shop experience.
• Strong knowledge of quality tools and processes.
• Experience with CP and CPK, PFMEA, Kaizen and 5S.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and improve OEE of machines.
• Conduct PFMEA and maintain control plans.
• Lead Kaizen and poka-yoke initiatives.
• Consolidate rejection and rework data for quality targets.
• Drive process upgradation for quality products.

Job description

• Various machining processes including machining of castings.
• Functioning of latest CNC machine tools.
• Programming of Fanuc, Siemens, mazatrol controls.
• Solving day to day issues for achieving production/quality targets.
• Process up gradation in terms of quality products and improvement in overall system.
• Consolidation and analysis of rejection and rework.
• Quality assurance techniques or procedure for production.Monitoring and improving OEE of machines.Evaluation of CP and CPK of machines PFMEA and control plan, Kaizen and poka-yoke.Effective implementation of corrective and preventive action by Error Proofing and Process controls. Monitoring and improving cutting tools life.Maintenance, up-gradation, setup change of Fixtures.TPM activities, 5S culture etc
