Job summary

Cyient in Pune seeks a hands-on Industrial Engineer to drive virtual manufacturing assembly process planning using MPlanner or Wplanner, with Excel and PowerPoint support.

You will create SOE, time elements, OMS, SOPs and work instructions, and develop manufacturing layouts with operator instructions and visuals.

Requires knowledge of IE standards, lean manufacturing, DFMA/ DFA/ DFM and PFMEA, CAD tools, and good English communication; basic MS Office skills are expected.

Qualifications

• 3 years of hands-on experience in Virtual Manufacturing assembly process planning.
• Experience in creating SOE, Time element, OMS, SOP, and work instructions.
• Create manufacturing layouts and detailing layouts with operator instructions and visuals.
• Good knowledge of IE standards, such as time study, work-study, and line balancing.
• MOST or similar Industrial Engg software exposure is a plus.
• Ability to validate product/assembly with torque specs, tool accessibility, DFMA, DFA, DFM, PFMEA.
• Knowledge of human factor ergonomic guidelines.
• Strong understanding of Lean Manufacturing concepts and tools.
• Exposure to CAD tools: Teamcenter VisView, Vis Mockup, AutoCAD/FCAD.
• Good English communication and ability to work independently with minimal guidance.
• Basic MS Office tools.

Job description

• 3 years of hands‑on experience in Virtual Manufacturing assembly process planning using MPlanner or Wplanner, Excel sheet, PPT, or any other software tools will be added advantages (Only Mechanical industries, Automotive, Construction, Agriculture, etc)
• Experience in creating the Sequence of operation (SOE), Time element, operation method sheet (OMS), SOP, and work instruction
• Create Mfg. Layout & Detailing Layout, Operator instruction with pictorial representation
• Good knowledge of IE standards, such as time study, work-study, and line balancing, with Factory exposure.
• MOST or any other Industrial Engg software exposure added advantages
• Ability to validate the product/assembly with respective to Torque selection/specification, Tool accessibility, DFMA, DFA, DFM, PFMEA, etc.
