Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer with 5–8 years of experience in tractor/ manufacturing environments. responsibilities include planning and executing assembly processes, procuring equipment, and ensuring successful installation and commissioning of testing systems.

The role requires expertise in PFMEA, SPC, Lean, and cost optimization, with hands-on experience in SAP and Teamcenter for BOM handling and process documentation.

Qualifications

B.E./ B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering/Automobile Engineering.
5 to 8 years in Manufacturing Engineering.
Knowledge of manufacturing process design, plant layouts & development of assembly processes.
Experience in machine procurement & REQ.
Installation and commissioning of assembly and testing equipment.
Experience with DCP/PFMEA updation & review mechanism, RPN reduction.

Responsibilities

Evaluation of product design for ease of assembly & disassembly using DFA.
Design, development, procurement, and commissioning of assembly and material handling facilities.
Prepare FMEA, PFD, Control Plans & SOPs for new models.
Coordinate with Plant Team for initial phase of productionizing.
Lead SAP/Teamcenter based BOM handling & line side logistics.

Job description

Evaluation of product design /concepts/Drawing for ease of assembly & disassembly using virtual DFA technique
Plant layouts preparation, Design & development of assembly processes, Finalization & development of fixtures,tooling, gauges etc.
Design, Development, procurement, installation and commissioning of assembly & material handling facilities,equipment's
Preparation of Process FMEA, PFD, Control Plans & SOP for new models
Prepare, execute & impart training to manufacturing/QA for new model assembly process
Establish & monitor assembly process during Gen-1/Gen-2/Seeding/Pilot batches
Audits of processes and system during SOVP & support for APPAP closure
Formulation of Mfg. strategy proposals for new product.Workout mfg. investment for new products
Provide input for assembly make Vs. buy proposals
Conduct DFA & ensure implementation of input.
Co-ordination with Plant Team for Initial phase of Productionizing
CME SPOC at Plant
Installation and commissioning of assembly, testing Equipment
