ibis Chennai hotel seeks a skilled Maintenance Technician to conduct routine inspections and maintain HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and other building systems to ensure guest comfort and safety.

You will respond to maintenance requests, keep records, participate in preventive maintenance, and coordinate with contractors, while working shifts including nights and weekends.

Competenze

• Diploma or certification in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or related field; C license holder.
• 2–3 years in a similar hotel/hospitality role.
• Knowledge of electrical, HVAC, plumbing and fire safety systems.
• Ability to read technical drawings and manuals; strong troubleshooting.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills; Chennai codes familiarity.
• Willingness to work shifts and respond to emergencies.

Qualifications

• Comprehensive knowledge of building systems, including electrical, HVAC, plumbing, and fire safety
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings and manuals
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills with a detail-oriented approach
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on customer service
• Familiarity with local building codes and regulations in Chennai
• Knowledge of energy conservation practices and their implementation
• Basic computer skills for record-keeping, reporting, and using maintenance management systems
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
• Willingness to work in shifts and respond to emergency situations, demonstrating flexibility and resilience
• Physical ability to perform maintenance tasks and handle equipment
