Maintenance Manager in Chennai, India is a Restaurants role for an experienced Indian male hospitality professional with strong hotel engineering, facility maintenance, preventive repair planning, team leadership, and operational safety experience. Key Responsibilities
- Manage daily hotel maintenance and engineering operations across guest rooms, public areas, back‑of‑house areas, restaurants, kitchens, laundry, and service areas.
- Ensure all hotel equipment, systems, rooms, fixtures, and facilities remain safe, functional, clean, and ready for guest service.
- Plan and monitor preventive maintenance schedules for electrical, plumbing, HVAC, lighting, water systems, kitchen equipment, laundry equipment, and general building services.
- Supervise maintenance supervisors, technicians, electricians, plumbers, HVAC staff, carpenters, painters, and other engineering team members.
- Assign work orders, emergency repairs, routine checks, and daily technical tasks according to operational priorities.
- Coordinate with front office, housekeeping, food and beverage, laundry, security, and management teams to resolve maintenance issues quickly.
- Inspect repair work, room defects, public area issues, equipment faults, and safety concerns to ensure proper completion.
- Monitor spare parts, tools, maintenance supplies, equipment condition, and department stock to support smooth operations.
- Control maintenance costs by reducing breakdowns, preventing wastage, and improving repair efficiency.
- Ensure all maintenance work follows hotel safety standards, hygiene rules, fire safety procedures, and operating guidelines.
- Train and guide maintenance staff on safe work methods, guest area behavior, tool handling, and service response standards.
- Maintain daily maintenance reports, work order records, inspection checklists, preventive maintenance logs, and shift handover updates.

- Minimum 3 years of experience in the same position.
- Previous experience in 4‑star or 5‑star hotels is required.
- Good English speaking skills are required.
