Job summary
Daimler Truck in Bengaluru seeks an experienced automotive software engineer to implement and verify control software for Powertrain ECUs using MATLAB/Simulink and TargetLink. You will develop test scenarios based on functional requirements and ensure compliance with industry modelling rules.
You will analyze and optimize code generation, fix critical issues, and contribute to automation tooling. A background in ISO 26262 and MISRA/MAAB/HIS standards is beneficial for success in this role.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in MATLAB/Simulink for automotive software development.
- Experience with MIL/SIL/PIL testing and target verification.
- Familiarity with ISO 26262 functional safety standards.
- Knowledge of MISRA, MAAB and HIS modelling rules.
Responsibilities
- Implement, Verify & Validate Powertrain ECU software components using MATLAB/Simulink and TargetLink.
- Develop test scenarios for software components and systems from functional requirements.
- Analyse industry standards modelling rules such as MAAB, MISRA and HIS.
- Scale and auto code generation using TargetLink/Embedded Coder.
- Identify and fix critical warnings/errors during TargetLink code generation.
- Perform model/code complexity analysis and runtime performance assessment of generated production code.
- Define strategy and develop tools/scripts to improve software development efficiency.
- Integrate PT software modules and generate flash/hex/build files.
- Understand ISO 26262 / Functional safety; additional knowledge is a plus.
