Job summary

Orbit & Skyline seeks a Semiconductor Equipment Engineer with deep Dry Etch tool expertise to troubleshoot and recover advanced equipment in a high-volume fab. The role requires hands-on experience with AMAT Super E, Lam Alliance, Lam Rainbow, Neo Ashers, and LAM 4400/4500/9600, and ownership of tool issues from detection to resolution.

Candidate should possess strong MTBF/MTTR optimization skills, be able to work independently, and ensure SOPs, safety and cleanroom protocols are followed at all

Qualifications

• 5–10 years of experience in semiconductor Dry Etch equipment in high-volume fabs.
• Hands-on experience with major Dry Etch tools and fast recovery in production environments.
• Strong understanding of SPC/FDC systems, alarms, and process limits.
• Ability to perform RCA and implement permanent corrective actions.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic tool fault recovery to minimize downtime.
• Execute preventive maintenance per SOPs, ensuring on-time completion and first-pass success.
• Support troubleshooting of routine equipment issues and escalate complex problems.
• Monitor tool performance, respond to alarms, and address abnormal conditions.
• Identify repeat tool issues and contribute to MTBF improvements.
• Maintain documentation of maintenance activities, faults and actions taken.
• Adhere to SOPs, safety, quality and cleanroom protocols.

The candidate should have hands‑on experience in one or more of the following toolsets: AMAT Super E, Lam Alliance, Lam Rainbow, Neo Ashers, LAM 4400/4500/9600. The candidate must be capable of working independently, taking full ownership of tool issues and driving fast and effective resolution of complex equipment problems.

Role & Responsibilities:

• Perform basic tool fault recovery to minimize equipment downtime.


• Execute preventive maintenance as per procedures, ensuring on-time completion and first-time pass.


• Support troubleshooting of routine equipment issues and elevate complex problems when required.


• Monitor tool performance and respond to alarms and abnormal conditions.


• Support actions to identify and resolve repeat tool issues, improving MTBF.


• Maintain proper documentation of maintenance activities, faults, and actions taken.


• Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and maintain discipline in execution.


• Ensure adherence to safety, quality, and cleanroom protocols.

Mandatory Skills:

• Minimum 5-10 years of experience in semiconductor Dry Etch equipment in high-volume fabs. Hands‑on experience in tools like AMAT Super E, Lam Alliance, Lam Rainbow, Neo Ashers, LAM 4400/4500/9600.


• Strong expertise in equipment troubleshooting and fast recovery in production environment. Responsible for preventive and corrective maintenance of equipment.


• Good understanding of SPC/FDC systems, alarms, and process limits.


• Troubleshoot issues related to plasma, RF, vacuum, gas delivery, and hardware subsystems.


• Perform root cause analysis (RCA) and implement permanent corrective actions.


• Maximize tool uptime, MTBF, and reduce MTTR.


• Good knowledge of mainframe and subsystems like pumps, RF generators, matching network, ESC, MFCs, etc.
