Job summary

Orbit & Skyline is seeking a skilled Equipment/Senior Equipment engineer with hands-on Ion Implant tool experience, including Axcelis GSD, Purion HE, 8250, AMAT 9500XR and Quantum. You will own tool KPIs, drive MTBF improvements, and manage spare parts to avoid downtime.

The role requires 3–5 years on 200mm/300mm ion implant tools, strong problem-solving, and proficiency in FMEAs and risk assessments to support future projects and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Diploma/B.Tech/M.Tech required with 3–5 years of experience on 200mm/300mm Ion Implant tools.
• Hands-on experience with implant tools and strong understanding of tool KPIs is essential.
• FMEAs, risk assessments, and safety standards familiarity are expected.

Responsibilities

• Take full ownership of Implant tool KPIs, driving strategies to maximize tool availability by increasing MTBF
• Monitor and analyze SPC/FDC trends and defect data to mitigate process excursions and optimize tool-level yield performance.
• Spearhead continuous improvement projects (CIP) focused on enhancing tool performance.
• Lead PM/CM content reviews and optimizations to improve equipment reliability and extend tool uptime.
• Manage spare parts logistics to ensure zero downtime due to stockouts, while identifying second-source opportunities to drive down costs.
• Provide high-level technical support for critical "Tool Down" recoveries and urgent troubleshooting.
• Support future projects by performing FMEAs, conducting risk assessments and ensuring seamless tool integration.
• Ensure strict adherence to cleanroom protocols, safety standards, Hazardous material handling and Electrical safety (LOTO)
