Job description

• We are seeking a Senior Drupal Developer with 4+ years of experience to lead the development, customization, and maintenance of complex Drupal-based applications. This role requires a backend‑heavy full‑stack professional who can architect enterprise‑grade solutions while ensuring high performance, security, and a seamless user experience. You will be responsible for the full Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC), from initial architecture and custom module development to automated deployment and server optimization.
• • What You’ll Be Doing
  • Design and implement new features, establishing the website’s architecture and ensuring high availability.
  • Create and maintain custom Drupal modules and themes following best practices and PSR coding standards.
  • Collaborate with designers to turn responsive designs into high‑performance Twig templates and working HTML/CSS.
  • Implement robust data management solutions, including third‑party API integrations and external services.
  • Optimize modules for maximum speed and scalability. Manage security updates and ensure compliance across all Drupal installations.
  • Conduct thorough code reviews and provide mentorship to junior developers and trainees to maintain code maintainability.
  • Manage CI/CD pipelines and version control workflows to ensure stable and frequent releases.
  • What We’re Looking For
  • 4–8 years of hands‑on experience in Drupal and PHP implementations within a LAMP/WAMP environment.
  • Deep proficiency in Drupal 8/9/10+, including advanced site building with Views, Paragraphs, and Layout Builder.
  • Expert‑level knowledge of PHP (8.x), Symfony components, and SQL database management using MySQL or MariaDB.
  • Additional Skills Considered a Plus
  • Experience with Acquia Site Studio or other Acquia‑related cloud services.
  • Knowledge of decoupled/headless Drupal using React or Next.js.
  • Familiarity with enterprise search tools like Apache Solr or Elasticsearch.
  • Experience with Drupal multisite setup and management.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with high attention to detail.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Proactive attitude and a strong willingness to learn and adapt in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively within an Agile/Scrum team. Work with data governance specialists to implement and enforce data policies.

  • Strong skills in responsive design using HTML5, CSS3 (SASS), Twig templating, JavaScript (ES6+), and jQuery.
  • Expertise in essential development tools including Git for version control, Composer for dependency management, and Drush for CLI tasks.
  • Familiarity with managing CI/CD pipelines, and implementing automated testing with PHPUnit or Behat.
