Job summary

Gandhi Institute of Technology and Management (GITAM) seeks a Senior Drupal Developer with 8+ years of experience to lead end-to-end Drupal initiatives, including architecture design, integrations, performance tuning, and security. You will drive enterprise-grade Drupal platforms across multiple sites and multilingual deployments.

The role involves mentoring junior developers, overseeing deployments, and ensuring scalable, accessible, and SEO-friendly implementations for varied stakeholders.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of hands-on Drupal development in Drupal 8/9/10/11.
• Strong PHP/SQL/HTML5/CSS3/JavaScript/jQuery skills.
• Extensive experience in custom Drupal module and theme development.
• Strong understanding of Drupal architecture, APIs, Hooks, Configuration Management, Composer, and Drush.
• Experience with Drupal APIs, RESTful web services, and third-party integrations.
• Git, CI/CD pipelines, deployment automation, and release management.
• Strong knowledge of Drupal security practices, vulnerability management, and access control.
• Experience in performance optimization, caching strategies, CDN integration, and Core Web Vitals improvements.
• Knowledge of responsive design, accessibility standards, and SEO best practices.
• Experience conducting code reviews and mentoring juniors.
• Experience with large-scale enterprise or higher education Drupal deployments.

The ideal candidate should be capable of leading end-to-end development, architecture design, integrations, performance optimization, security implementation, and maintenance of enterprise-level Drupal platforms.

Role & responsibilities

• Ensure website security through regular updates, security patches, and user access management.
• Optimize website performance, scalability, accessibility, and SEO.

• Mentor junior and mid-level developers and provide technical guidance and support.

• Troubleshoot complex technical issues and provide architectural recommendations.

Preferred candidate profile
