Job summary

CNIM MARTIN Private Limited in Chennai is seeking a skilled Mechanical Draftsman to draft General Arrangement drawings and prepare BOM/BOQ aligned with detail drawings. You will ensure compliance with boiler engineering codes and maintain ISO-based records.

The ideal candidate has a Diploma in Mechanical Engineering with 4–8 years of drafting experience, strong English communication, and the ability to work under deadlines. AutoCAD proficiency is essential and 3D software is a plus.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Mechanical Engineering with 4–8 years of work experience.
• 2D software knowledge: AutoCAD.
• 3D software knowledge is an added advantage.
• Experience in the drafting of mechanical equipment, boilers, and flue gas treatment systems is an added advantage.

Responsibilities

• Drafting of Product General Arrangement drawings.
• Preparing Bill of Materials & Bill of Quantity with respect to the detail drawings.
• Ensure compliance with applicable codes in all drafting activities, especially concerning boiler engineering.
• Prepare and maintain documents/records as per ISO.
• Other responsibilities as directed by Reporting Manager.

Responsibilities

• DRAFTING OF PRODUCT GENERAL ARRANGEMENT DRAWINGS.
• PREPARING OF BILL OF MATERIALS & BILL OF QUANTITY WITH RESPECT TO THE DETAIL DRAWINGS.
• ENSURE COMPLIANCE WITH APPLICABLE CODES IN ALL DRAFTING ACTIVITIES, ESPECIALLY CONCERNING BOILER ENGINEERING.
• PREPARE AND MAINTAIN DOCUMENT/ RECORDS AS PER ISO
• OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES AS DIRECTED BY REPORTING MANAGER

Education / Experience Requirements

• DIPLOMA IN MECHANICAL ENGINEERING WITH 4 – 8 YEARS OF WORK EXPERIENCE
• 2D SOFTWARE KNOWLEDGE: AUTOCAD.
• 3D SOFTWARE KNOWLEDGE IS AN ADDED ADVANTAGE.
• EXPERIENCE IN THE DRAFTING OF MECHANICAL EQUIPMENT’S. EXPERIENCE IN GRATE SYSTEMS, BOILERS, AND FLUE GAS TREATMENT SYSTEMS IS AN ADDED ADVANTAGE.
