Job summary

Blue Star is seeking an experienced BIM Manager to oversee BIM implementation across Bangalore and Kochi projects. You will own the digital construction workflow, manage BIM standards, and ensure data integrity from design through construction coordination.

The role requires leading the use of Revit, Navisworks for clash detection, ACC cloud administration, and introducing AR tools on site to bridge the digital model and the physical space.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Civil Engineering, or Construction Management.
• Minimum 5–8 years in BIM implementation with at least 2 years in a managerial or lead capacity.

Responsibilities

• BIM Strategy & Implementation (Revit) including standards, templates, and family creation across multiple projects.
• Coordination & clash detection using Navisworks, including meetings and reporting.
• Administer ACC environment, project setup, permissions, and document control workflows.

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and technically proficient BIM Manager to oversee BIM implementation and delivery for our Bangalore and Kochi operations. The ideal candidate will take ownership of the digital construction workflow, managing the full lifecycle of BIM models from design through to construction coordination. The candidate will be the primary point of contact for BIM standards, cloud collaboration (ACC), and the implementation of emerging technologies such as Augmented Reality (AR) on site.

Key Responsibilities

• BIM Strategy & Implementation (Revit)
  
  • Manage and maintain company-wide BIM standards, templates, and Revit families to ensure consistency across Bangalore and Kochi projects.
  • Oversee model health, performing regular audits to ensure data integrity and adherence to Level of Development (LOD) requirements.
  • Lead the production of complex BIM models and provide technical support/training to the internal design teams.
• Coordination & Clash Detection (Navisworks)
  
  • Lead inter‑disciplinary coordination meetings.
  • Utilize Autodesk Navisworks for federated model assembly, advanced clash detection, and interference checking.
  • Generate clash reports and work closely with project consultants to resolve conflicts prior to site execution.
• Common Data Environment (ACC / BIM 360)
  
  • Administer the Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC) environment.
  • Manage project setup, user permissions, and document control workflows.
  • Ensure seamless cloud collaboration between the Bangalore and Kochi teams, providing real‑time data access and version control.
• Advanced Technology Implementation (AR)
  
  • Spearhead the adoption of Augmented Reality tools for site visualization and verification.
  • Bridge the gap between the digital model and the physical site by preparing models for AR deployment.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Civil Engineering, or Construction Management.
• Experience: Minimum 5–8 years in BIM implementation with at least 2 years in a managerial or lead capacity.
• Technical Proficiency:
  • Autodesk Revit – Expert modeling, family creation, and parameterization.
  • Navisworks Manage – Advanced clash detection and time lane management.
  • Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC) – Strong administration skills.
  • AR/VR tools – Experience with AR workflows such as Dalux, Gamma AR, or similar is essential.
• Soft Skills: Strong leadership for managing remote teams (Kochi/Bangalore); excellent communication for client‑facing coordination.

Nice to Have

• Knowledge of Dynamo scripting or API automation.
• Experience in 4D (Scheduling) or 5D (Cost Estimation) BIM.
