Job description

The Architect role includes, but may not be limited to, the following responsibilities and deliverables:

Operational Responsibilities:

• Review and understand the Enterprise Architecture and based on the Enterprise Architecture, apply that to the Architecture artefacts for your Domain, including the following as appropriate:
  • Architecture Standards, Principles, Policies and Guidelines
  • Architecture Decisions Document
  • Performance Guidelines
  • Non-Functional Requirements
  • Data Model
  • Coding guidelines
  • System Context Diagram
  • Integration Interfaces (both internal and external)
• Describe how the Domain proposes to deliver against the agreed and documented non-functional requirements
• Regularly review support issues coming into the team and define remedial actions – including, as necessary, participating in Triage of support issues for your product.
• Drive strategic and transformational initiatives as required from time to time
• Coach / mentor peers and others to adhere to the TechnologyOne development methodologies, follow design and coding guidelines and deliver software that will make the product extremely robust, performant, secure and easy to use
• Clearly articulate technical issues to non-technical audiences, sharing information and educating teams to expand their technical knowledge and capabilities
• Review, understand and contribute to relevant Business Artefacts as required
• Design technical prototypes, data models, UI, code and any other artefacts that will remove complexity and deliver a simple and elegant solution
• Advise and assist product teams as a technical and architectural expert for specific projects

• Architecture Standards, Principles, Policies and Guidelines and review to ensure & confirm adherence
• Architecture Decisions Document and review to ensure & confirm adherence
• Product Performance Guidelines and review to ensure & confirm adherence
• Non-Functional Requirements and review to ensure & confirm adherence
• Product Integration Interfaces (both internal and external)
• Description of how the domain proposes to deliver against the agreed and documented non-functional requirements.
• Source Code and Configuration Files
• Build Prototypes and if necessary, deliver critical pieces of code

Essential Capabilities
