Job summary

Yellowbox HR Services Pvt. Ltd. in Bengaluru seeks a Domestic Destination Expert to plan and book domestic holidays across India, ensuring the trip matches the promise.

You will design day-by-day itineraries, coordinate flights, trains, hotels, cabs and activities, and guide customers from planning to post-trip follow-up. Based in Bangalore, you’ll work on a rotating shift model and meet booking targets.

Qualifications

• 15 years of experience at a travel company, travel agency or DMC.
• Good knowledge of popular Indian destinations: hill stations, beaches, heritage sites and wildlife parks.
• Experience building end-to-end domestic itineraries, including routing, travel times and costing.
• Comfortable coordinating with hotels, cab operators and local vendors.
• Strong English communication over chat and calls; regional language is a plus.
• Based in Bangalore, or willing to relocate to Bangalore.

Responsibilities

We help people plan and book a trip without the stress of using five different apps. We handle flights, hotels, visas, forex, cabs, insurance and trip planning in one place, with real people supported by AI tools.

The job in one line

You help our members plan and book their holidays within India, and you make sure the trip they get is exactly the trip we promised them.

E.g., if a customer messages "We want 6 days in Ladakh in June, 2 adults and our parents in their 60s." You are the person who talks to them, builds the plan, gets them to book with us, and stays with them until they are back home to ensure an end-to-end amazing customer experience.

What you will do

• Understand the trip. Ask the right questions: dates, budget, who is travelling and what kind of holiday they want.
• Build the plan. Put together a day-by-day itinerary, with flights or trains, hotels, cabs and activities, that actually works on the ground.
• Share the price and close the booking. Explain options clearly, answer doubts and help the member make an informed choice. You will have monthly targets for bookings and customer experience.
• Book every component. Book flights, trains, hotels and cabs exactly as per the itinerary, and double-check names, dates and details before confirming.
• Get the local details right. Guide members on the best time to visit, weather, travel time between places, road conditions and any permits needed (e.g., Inner Line Permits for parts of the North-East, or Ladakh).
• Work with our partners. Follow up with DMCs, hotels, homestays, cab operators and local guides until every booking is confirmed in writing.
• Keep the member updated. Send clear updates without being chased. If something changes (flight delay, road closure, hotel issue, change of plan), tell them quickly and fix it.
• Handle changes and cancellations. Manage date changes, cancellations and refunds according to supplier policies, and keep the member informed at every step.
• Keep records clean. Log every enquiry, booking, payment and conversation in our CRM or tracker so anyone on the team can pick it up.
• Ask for help at the right time. Follow the team playbook. If you can't solve something yourself, take it to your manager quickly with all the details.
• Use AI tools. Use our AI tools to work faster, and tell us when you spot repetitive work that could be automated.

Preferred background

• 15 years of experience at a travel company, travel agency or DMC
• Good knowledge of popular Indian destinations: hill stations, beaches, heritage sites and wildlife parks
• Experience building end-to-end domestic itineraries, including routing, travel times, hotel choice and costing
• Understanding of on-ground logistics such as transfers, check-in timings and buffer time, so every trip runs smoothly
• Hands-on experience booking flights, hotels and cabs to match the itinerary
• Strong communication in English over chat and calls, with the ability to counsel customers and convert enquiries into bookings (any regional language is a plus)
• Experience coordinating with hotels, cab operators and local vendors
• Comfortable working in Google Sheets or Excel for quotes and booking trackers
• Based in Bangalore, or willing to relocate to Bangalore
• Comfortable with rotating shifts, including nights, weekends and peak holiday seasons (5 working days a week)
• Customer-first: willing to go the extra mile for travellers
• Calm under pressure, takes ownership and sees problems through to resolution.
